This series represents a very difficult hurdle in my life. One that I thought was going to halt my journey as an independent artist.

The game over artwork is a metaphor for that feeling you had as a kid after blowing through a fist full of quarters and then making a silly mistake just to realize that you have used up your last coin. The screen blinks “game over” almost in a sinister tone and then you are presented with a new prompt asking: “insert credit to continue” pulling out all the moves you know like turning your pockets inside out, checking all the other machines in the coin return nearby, and then desperately dropping to the floor to check for lost quarters that may have escaped under the arcade machines. All while the clock ticks down. “Continue? 5, 4, 3, 2…..

The cards feature a distorted image of my Astro jelly art representing the incoherence in my life at the time as well as 2 integrated photopolymer holograms, representing the clarity that pulled me through this tough journey.
